Class AAA tenth ranked Hart County made the trip down 85 from Hartwell to take on top ranked Hebron in a Region 8-AAA battle of top 10 teams Tuesday night. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, they ran into a juggernaut in the host Lions who laid a 106-39 beatdown on the visitors. The Hebron girls played arguably their most complete game offensively and defensively, since returning from Phoenix last month. The team connected on 10 three pointers in the first half alone, by five different players. Hebron led 65-25 and halftime and coasted in the second half. Amiya Porter led the way for the Lions in her best offensive output of the season. She scored a team high 26 points and connected six times from behind the arc. Aubrey Beckham scored 15 points and had six assists while Kerra Butler had 14 points and five rebounds. Nickey Daniel scored 13 points while Danielle Osho had eight points. Camryn Register added eight points for the Lions while Aniya Moodie had six. Alanna Beckham also scored six points to go with a team high seven steals. Mia James added five points and a team high 11 assists while Kai Willams chipped in five points. With the win Hebron ups its record to 20-2 overall, 7-0 in region play. Hart County drops to 15-7, 4-3. Up next, the Lions will take on Monroe Area in another Region contest. It will be Hebron’s final home game of the regular season. Tipoff is Friday at 6:00 PM.
